Native
American teachers teach us to be grateful for all life. They honor the animals and
plants as our brothers and sisters. They honor the earth as our mother and the sky
as our father. They teach us to show gratitude to all living creatures for the
essential roles that they play in maintaining the web of life.
Being grateful teaches us the
value and importance of being alive on this wonderful planet. When we know deep in
our hearts, that as a people, we are kept alive by nature's sacred gifts we will come to
honor and respect life in a way which will always be mindful of our children's, children's
future.
At Children of the Earth
United we strongly believe in the importance and positive benefits of expressing
gratitude.
With this thought in mind, we
invite our youth, their teachers and the members of their families to join us
in our Thank You Mother Earth - Gratitude Campaign.
